Q'tenaha

This is a new species I've had floating around in my head for a while; it took me even longer to get it down on... er, tablet.

Q'tenaha are a breed of desert cat-dragons who live mostly in the desert; their legs are long, and feet are big, to evenly balance their weight on the sand.

Their fur is soft and short, and usually darker colors, and beneath that, their skin is almost black.

Females have only one set of horns, and males have up to three, depending on thier age. The horns are always all one color, but among individuals, the horns can be many different colors, as can their hair.

Their tails are flexible, but not prehensile, and the wide tip is used like a shovel, for prey that buries itself in the sand.

Their raised claws are like raptor claws, and are used to bring down large prey in their hunting parties.


Clothing tends to be more minimal, but highly decorative; this Q'tenaha is currently bare-bones just because I wanted to show off his markings. ;
