How not to be a stupid yaoi fan

Idiot yaoi fans are beginning to piss me off. At this point, I'd like to point out that if you are not what I define as an idiot yaoi fan, then this doesn't apply to you (obviously).

Definitions of idiot yaoi fans are as follows:

Type A- "I hate Lady Une/Usagi/Kagome, so let's put Treize/Mamoru/Inuyasha with Zechs/Seiya/Shippo!" (Well, maybe not Shippo).

Look, I'm going to sound a total canon nazi here...but please don't pair characters who don't know/like each other together unless you can make a good story about it that doesn't just involve "well, they look hot together". Like Mamoru and Seiya for instance...sure, they're cute together, but...Mamoru has never ever met Seiya, and Seiya probably doesn't like Mamoru because of all the worry he caused her, plus the fact that not only is Seiya a woman, she lives on a distant planet...kinda makes the pairing difficult...


Type B- "Sure, I support homosexuality...but lesbians are sick and wrong!"

Okay. No one is making you like yuri. No one at all. However, claiming to support homosexuality and then turning around and talking about how gross lesbians are is not only stupid...it's sheer hypocrisy. Yes, you can like yaoi and think yuri is icky. But please, don't be a fucktard and say you're all for homosexuality as long as lesbians aren't involved.

Type C-"Well, DA's taking away all our yaoi but they're keeping the yuri!"

First of all, I'd have to take a look at the yaoi art that's being removed. Are penises involved? Because, usually, yaoi with penises has gone from being art to being porn, and DA doesn't let you have porn. Now, before you get your panties (or boxer briefs, if that's your thing) in a bunch and scream at me about how DA lets artists have pictures of lesbians "molesting each other" (yes, someone actually said that), allow me to point out that cuddling lesbians does not equal molestation. Furthermore, images of boys kissing boys seem to be allowed. So do images of boys cuddling. So if cuddling=molestation...aren't they all molesting each other?
Yeesh.

Type D-"Yeah, well, you're a stupid homophobe because you don't like yaoi."

Not liking yaoi doesn't automatically make someone a homophobe. Maybe some people prefer to see real boys going at it. Yes, I know, it's a shock. How could anyone possibly prefer real people to a fucking cartoon?
Maybe some people just don't think homosexuality is right. Doesn't make them homophobes.

Look, the point I'm trying to make here is not that liking yaoi is bad, or wrong, or makes you stupid, because it doesn't. The point I'm trying to make is...if you like yaoi, and you see yourself in the Type A, B, C, or D idiot yaoi fan examples I've given you...maybe you should stop shooting your mouth off and actually think about what you're saying.
