Episode 290:
"Rhythm Divide"

Finally! The one page I was looking forward to doing forever now, and in HORRIFYING COLOOOOOOOOOR!

Isn't it ironic how this whole highway scene began at the start of the year, and it's ended on the last day of the year. GUESS I JUST GOT THAT SOMETHING.

I suppose I should talk about Destiny's little attack here. The name "Rhythm Divide" actually popped up in my head back in High School, where I misheard the title of Enrique Iglesia's "Rhythm Divine" and thought it sounded like an interesting name for an attack. When I decided to implement kick fighting into Destiny's design, the name came back to me and I decided I would use it for this scene.

The move itself is a nod to Charlie and Guile's Flash Kick and all it's many variations and executions. I still have yet to get to Destiny's landing after delivering the move, so try to imagine this if you will. Destiny's back turned to her opponent as it was in the last episode, raises her leg, pumped with some of her energy for that extra, 'scuse the pun, kick. Throws the leg back and leaps into the air, kinda like Charlie does so, but while in mid movement, turns around slightly, which would explain the position she's in now, and lands facing the opponent, like how Guile does after finishing his version of the move.

It's hard to explain, but I was never good at descriptions. You'll just have to take my word for this one and enjoy Helldandy finally getting nailed in this arc.
