Multitasking

Name: Cryba By (Kree-buh Bee)

Age: 16

Cryba is a whiner, a complainer, a "cry baby." He is the only son of a poor farming family.

He had to help his family make ends meet, and so never attended school. He can speak and understand English (horribly), but cannot write and can barely read.

One day, after spending Cryba's 16th birthday at the circus, the Bys returned home to find that their land had been bought. Unable to support their son anymore, the Bys sent him to join the travelling circus where he could be fed and sheltered in exchange for his work.

It is here that Cryba meets his best friend and tutor, who teaches him to read, to write, and to better understand the world.

I want to start a web comic sometime during the summer, so I'm sketching out ideas now.
