I'm a very mellow person, you could show me the most disgusting thing from rotten.com and I'd just cringe a little, but otherwise shrug it off. [..I'm not asking to be tested on this >(] and I go around and see a lot of recolors and oddball colored characters.
and I'm FINE with that, ya know. I LIKE garish appearances, it lets people have their freedom with how their characters are designed, breathes some life into them.

But amongst the things I hate, in characters and sprites alike:
- Ripoffs -
STOP COPYING ANIME/GAME THINGS! Especially the huge things that the main protagonist worked their ass off or got some weird bullshit luck to get.
KAKASHI IS NOT PASSING AROUND RAIKIRI TO EVERY FUCKWIT HE SEES, NEITHER IS JIRAIYA WITH RASENGAN,
THE UCHIHA CLAN IS DEAD, SO THERE'S NOT MANY PEOPLE AROUND TO TRAIN YOU HOW TO USE ALL THE GOOD FIRE JUTSUS,
NOT EVERYONE HAS EATEN THAT GUM GUM FRUIT OR WHATEVER IT WAS, SO NOT EVERYONE CAN DO THAT RETARDED WHIRLWIND PUNCHING BARRAGE BULLSHIT!
I DON'T CARE IF YOU'RE A SONIC FAN, SONIC IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE FASTEST THING ALIVE, AND JUST BECAUSE YOU'RE A HEDGEHOG TOO DOESN'T MEAN YOU ARE AS STREAMLINED OR AS FAST AS HIM AND CAN ONLY GET AS FAST AS HIM IN YOUR TERMINAL VELOCITY FALLING OFF A FUCKING BUILDING, AND I DON'T GIVE A FUCK ABOUT CHAOS EMERALDS, YOU DON'T KNOW CHAOS CONTROL EITHER!

Darkness the Hedgehog? Lightspeed the Hedgehog? VELOCITY THE HEDGEHOG?! What the FUCK?! I don't hate then for being sonic recolors [cause there are billions already, I put up with it] but GOD DAMNIT AT LEAST PUT SOME EFFORT INTO YOUR GOD DAMN NAME! I saw this one guy's sprite sheet, he had a lot of attacks, which I don't mind.
But EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM was a carbon copy of another. He had a least 6 different beam and projectile attacks, that all LOOKED the name, just a different RECOLORED SPRITE to look black which is IMPOSSIBLE BECAUSE LIGHT CANNOT BE BLACK, and each of them had a different 'name' but they all started with the name elemental prefix. Like.. every single one of them was labelled "Dark" and the only differences in the sprite and effect were indicated by unoriginal names like DARK SHOT or DARK CANNON or DARK BOMB or DARK BARBECUED TESTICLE what the fuck

In short: HAVE SOME GODDAMN CREATIVITY! I kick my ass sideways and back making my OWN WORLD and my OWN SPECIES and my OWN CONCEPTS just so I don't have to be stupid, so WHY CAN'T YOU?!
I'm not hating on recolors, or how everyone uses the same weapon, or how weird people color certain species so extravagantly outside of their own normal genetic colorings for whatever reason [Honestly, no hate. It's OKAY, though it's still somewhat frowned upon]

I am hating on those IDIOTS who do nothing but copy anime characters and put it into their characters for STUPID BULLSHIT REASONS.

Yes it's okay if you make a Ninja for your Naruto fanfic and copy ideas accordingly to fairness [you can't learn uchiha techniques cause they're all DEAD for example or learn Raikiri/Chidori because Sasuke nor Kakashi pass that shit around like a whore], but an anthropomorphic hedgehog from Mobius or Earth or anywhere else does ---NOT--- learn Kage Bunshin no Jutsu, much less Rasengan [and on some cases, Rasengan and Chidori/Raikiri BOTH]

I'm not SPEWING HATRED left and right though, because, obviously some people aren't USED to creating big characters like this, they are compelled to jump on the bandwagon and do whatever, and that's okay! I went through a Narutard phase myself [and god damnit I hate myself for it because now I hate the show] and I learned and so will you. I EXCUSE people for this because you can learn, you're inexperienced, you're peer-pressured, you have fan-gasms.


Hell, I do still. I mean, look at Brass. He uses a fucking shield and does stuff just like Captain America and Goofy. But I still work around it and it's not as bad.


I just don't excuse people who are well experienced and are coming up with the CRAPPIEST cliched designs ever with the most unoriginal names for attacks. FLAMETHROWER AND LIGHT CANNON ARE VERY CLEVER, GUYS. Jesus CHRIST.
