. From Beyond .

I actually finished this a while ago, but I didn't want to upload it until Song of Amazon got the real print (yes, she got a print of this; which is SO Much more gorgeous then this version).

This is a "HOORAY YOU ARE DONE!" gift for Songy for completing her From Beyond series, which I helped beta for her. These poor girls have such a tragic story and don't nearly get as much love as they really need. It's horribly tragic and made of win. I didn't actually draw this; this here if a Frankenstein's monster of three coloring book blanks; the four in the center are one, the one in the middle is another (template by Krispy ~ used with permission!), and the two on the top are made of another. It is traced, but if using other references or stock images in a similar fashion isnt against the rules, this is no exception.

This thing totally killed me. I think this is the most time I've ever spent on an image. The detailed shading, redoing the hair on each character two or three times, the backlighting and effects...and there is a grand total of 77 layers. The .psd is so HUGE that I have a massive waiting dialog to just OPEN it! Which has never happened before, and a total of 32 hours of work. Jesus h. Christ! The things I do for my friends!

In the end, I think it was WELL worth the effort, the headache, and the blood/swear/tears involved with making this sucker. More over, she absolutely loves it! I couldn't be happier!
