I haven't posted here for ages, because I've been paranoid about people stealing my music and stuff.
But I may as well, since I might make a different theme song for every "boss" character in my manga and animation project 'Two Heroes'.
The Kamaitachi is a creature from Japanese legend. It actually consists of 3 bodies but is viewed as a single entity. The Kamaitachi is a trio of weasel demons who live in snowy mountains. They ride on the wind and attack travelers who dare cross their mountain path. The Kamaitachi work with almost military prescision: the first weasel knocks the victim down, the second weasel then cuts at their legs with his sharp claws. Finally, the third weasel applies medication to the wounds. When the traveler realises what's happened, they're left with only painful wounds that don't bleed.
In Two Heroes, the Kamaitachi have taken over the Mountain Icelands under the command of the Masked Wolf. They keep the mountain tribes suppressed by filling the land with a constant snowstorm that prevents anyone from traveling far in the snow. After hearing about the strange weather in the Mountain Icelands, Tsun and Shiori venture into the snow where they are challenged by the Kamaitachi. After seeing just how powerful the kitsune and rabbit are together, the Kamaitachi change their tactics, melting into the snowstorm and stealth attacking with devastating speed. Tsun and Shiori eventually learn that in order to win, they must use their other senses besides sight, and the battle becomes one of prediction and timing.
For the music, I wanted it to be as fast as the Kamaitachi, and portray a sort of hectic feeling of something deadly running into the snowstorm only to strike again later. I used lots of weird echoey synths to achieve this. I also did quite a bit of freeform weirdness with the actual melody. Overall, this was a really fun piece to make (even if it chewed up Fruityloops pretty bad.) and I can't wait to start on drawing this episode in comic form. Oh yeah, and I used that awful Zwasi synth in the beats too.

I've been trying to hold back from using it for anything other than Dendyn music, but I just love it because it's so cheesy!
I'm allowing for download this time, please don't abuse this. I don't want to find my music turning up in Flash animations or anything without my permission please.

I just have a small thought... since you probably have access to some awesome programming friends. You could get someone to make you a personal DeviantArt music player. It shouldn't be too hard to just look up some commands and stuffz.
From my (limited) knowledge, you should just be able to feed the song into it then just upload it along with your preview piccys you always accompany them with.
I just think it's weird that only around 1/4 of the views inputted into DA make it to your music on SA *blinks*.
It's just a thought ^,,^"
