Description

I made this for another challenge I entered. The challenge was to create a romantic scene. My overall goal was to put in silhouettes of a couple, but I didn't have enough time to do that (only had 20 days.) I find the scene turned out pretty good. I may re-render this some time as I messed up somewhere when placing the light for the fireplace and the glow/light emitted from fire is not present in the scene. I won 'best modeling' and 'best texturing' in the contest, but got beat in best overall by two fish kissing in a fishtank...
Tell me what you think!

As you've mentioned the main lighting is wrong direction, taking away some of the realism. It doesn't look very romantic too. Maybe this is cliche but I would suggest the chair is facing directly at the fireplace with the camera positioned behind and slightly above the chair (with the couple present).

On a very positive note the modeling and texturing are great! Maybe add a soft texture to the chair? Overall I really like this scene keep up the work! :)
