Sometimes I feel like my art defines me more than I define my art. This is how it feels.
------------------------
My final project for Intro to Drawing. The assignment was to think of something we really cared about, something important to us, and show through a picture just how much we care about that something. So ya know, at first, I thought of the typical things like family and church and friends and stuff, but I really wanted to do something more specific to me. Then I thought, art is one of the most important things in the world to me. So after a lot of thought and sketching, always moving farther away from the blunt or direct approach, I came up with this. Being an artist means the world to me. And this is how it feels.
Sorry if the values look a little weird in places. I had to scan it in 8 pieces.
Major props to my roommate for being the best gravity-defying model ever. How did we do it, you ask? Magic.

This is wonderful, I adore the thought behind it and agree along with you, I feel the exact same way. 8] cause I got something that not a lot of people have and wish they did, and that's the gift to create and imaginate with creating art.

well at least the others in your class now get to see what real proffesional-level work looks like. really stunning, especially the blending of different media, which is hard to do in a piece like this where value is so important
