Working on a series of paintings of the interior of a massive cave system and its inhabitants. This particular painting is the massive stone doorway leading from the "foyer" into the main chamber. of the cave.
..They like their lanterns big...as in. really big. super big. so much so that they throw off the viewer.

As in for a minute I thought it was a colony of toy soldiers who were lost in epic childhood battles.
But honestly, this is astounding. The detail is breathtaking and the clean, minute sense of solidity that is somehow kept right alongside the soft, living feel is just amazing. Beautiful.

At a distance you cann see that it has loads of detail. When you look at it closely, you discover an amazing use of the brush and pen, and that they're strokes only.
Lovely work.

I really love this, especially how you left some of the pen marks unfinished and uncoloured. The giant lanterns give it a strange perspective
I loves it!

Woooow this is amazing. I love how the entrance and then all the other stuff are different sizes. The gateway looks like a normal entrance and all the other stuff looks small. I think that's a cool effect there. Good job!
