I've been in the spriting business for almost three years now. It all started when I created a forum, then one of my friends told me "your sprites suck". So I joined the forum he went on, and from there began to develop more into my spriting prowess.
The first sprites I ever did was 14-year-old VeeCee, which was basically take Amy's head and Sonic's body and create her. Her character was also designed to be a hardcore Shadow fangirl. She uses Chaos Energy for sparkly, one-arm beam attacks, and her choice of weapon is a silver staff.
As you can see, she was taller than expected for a Sonic-style sprite, and some of her body parts such as head and legs lack accurate anatomy. Also used a bunch of different heads, poses, and a bitchload of frankenspriting at my hand. It was a nice shot for a first try, though. Originally her attacks were also an eye-burning cyan blue, but that changed when I used the color code and SFX of the Sonic Battle attacks. The airshoes were later added, but now that I look at it I'm not sure it was such a good idea. I may tweak this sheet a bit to make it look better since these sprites are still being used in Devastation.
