Dreams (working Title)
This land that has hardened and become routine leaves no room for dreamers. Dreamers are the outcasts, the ones that have not awakened to reality, that's what everyone says at least. To dream of better days, of freedom, even of aiding mankind is considered nothing more than delusions of grandeur and is liable to get one locked up. That is why we exist.
Our organization is nameless, but many refer to it as Dream Haven. In DH we learn to fight, to invent, and to use our dreams. On the surface we look just like them, walking zombie-like, but underneath we are planning, dreaming, of how to break the cycle. This is our story, the story of a young generation's fight, and of the human race.

"James! Wake your ass up or you'll be late for school!" shouted a woman's voice from down stairs. James stirred a little and groaned as he looked at the clock on his desk. The clock face read 6:45 a.m., the usual time for the usual yell that woke him up. It's so routine he thought as he rolled over and covered his head with his blanket, only to berate himself for continuing to make the morning more routine.

Well, this certainly is interesting but on the downside it's a bit cliche once the writing had started. An outcasted group of people banning together to fight a higher power but you can make this totally unique in how you continue this. I think this has a crap load of potential so you better keep writing. I like the little interlude to the institution of dreamers and I'd love to see how that plays into the rest of the story that apparently stars James...a kid who hates routine bur can't do anything about it...!

was cute! lol I don't know if you'd want me to use that word to describe it.
, to rephrase it, i like when james berates himself.
I also enjoyed the intro passage as well! You worked perfectlyin creating a nice narrative transactio.
