Dream a Dream

I made this after reading more of Tsubasa last weekend and getting re-addicted to it~. (But GOD, it took FOREVER for the storyline to pick up)

I love how the color scheme turned out. Originally the colors were going to based based off of Kerahna's GORGEOUS newest work, with rosy red and pink colors which ended up turning hideously girly and I changed it to blue which ended up looking a lot better.

The design and useless details were fun, coloring them was UTTER HELL, A PAIN IN THE ASS I'M NOT KIDDING. The main reason being it's still hard for me to coordinate 20 different colors on one outfit and have them all look alright. ...So I guess this was painful practice I needed. 8D

The dress design was inspired by a lot of CLAMP's designs and made to suite the flowers in the background. I'm also hoping I was able to adapt their art style well enough...but I'm not used to drawing anorexically lanky tall characters, so I really don't know.

Overall, I'm actually really happy with how this turned out. Aside from a few frustrations, it was tons of fun to make.

(Also don't worry, I'm working on trades, requests, etc!!! I've already started a couple, I should have at least one done by this weekend or begining of next week! SORRYSORRYSORRY~)

* OH, and yes I got lazy about the feather and didn't add in the design. Yep.
