Suika is a Birman cat from a story a friend and I wrote in our first years of high school (9th and 10th grade). The story is called Suika and Sandio. Suika is a show cat who shares a home with a pesky show poodle and a woman who keeps her pets from being what they are...animals. Sandio is an orange-striped tabby stray whom she meets and befriends in the story. He has troubles of his own from the animal catcher to the junkyard Rottweiler, Bear.
Anyway, I have been dying to make a picture of Suika for a LONG TIME. The last time I drew her I could barely get a cat down on paper. I'll be making Sandio too and combing them both into the same picture. As a last note, her full name is Sweetest of the Suika's. (Suika is Japanese for watermelon) and Sandio came from Sandia (Spanish for watermelon) and she is supposed to be a Lilac point Birman though I think she is a seal-point in the story.

Oh how exquisit! I love the big, friendly eyes! Awww such a lovely perky tilt of the head! You colored this very nicely with those soft shades. Just one thing, I think the cat is lacking a proper "ass" I mean, the hip is a tad small and flat
