It occurred to me as I was scanning random junk that I never got around to posting the completed "goldfish" project. I loves having a working scanner! *clings to it*

Anyway, click if you want to see full-size, but beware, it's like 1000x900 pixels.

Oh yeah, I should probably explain. The project was to take the 12 illustration "tropes" and one subject and illustrate them all. Sadly, this was by far the most complicated project for this guy's class (which isn't saying much, though it was fun to do). It's just that we could've been doing so much more. x.x;

Anyway, from left to right, starting at the top:

Viewpoint, Anthropomorphic, Deconstruction
Decorative, Sequential, Representative
Parody, Analogy, Juxtaposition
Narrative, Repetition, Scale

These were done mostly in gouache, with white acrylic and pen, though Parody and Narrative were Photoshopped (obviously).

Goldfish Project by saeto15 is an excellent rendition of 12 different illustrative viewpoints; the piece depicts not only a very high level of talent but also a tongue-in-cheek sense of humor. Especially check out Parody and Juxtaposition!

I really like all of these. :) My favorite is the decorative one! this is really impressive though, I'd love to be able to do work like this.

ThreeStar Says:

i feel like the first ones [especially #3] were really weak but start to get stronger by the end [7-10] but uh, it's probably the most interesting thing in "featured art" right now

Spedtastical Says:

This is a unique presentation indeed! Professional, imaginative, and shows excellent understanding of your themes. I hope you got an A! you definitely deserved one :)

the third makes me sad for some reason, yet it is my favorite.
