So this came about because of the Evanescence song Imaginary, which is a weird song but one that has some kind of cool imagery in it. None of which is really pictured here apart from the purple sky.
Well...and the origami flowers...though in the song its a field of paper flowers. But whatever.
The fact is that 99% of the art inspired by this song has some random girl laying in a field of decidedly *not* paper flowers. It's annoying. I wanted to be different so we get a conglomeration of odd stuff all thrown in together. Yeah.
The scan murdered the colors and no amount of adjusting on my part gets them back to the originals. It's frustrating. It's also washed out to a degree but not as badly as Cousins. The color thing bugs me because the original looks much cooler. D: Also it's being a pain to scan and I need to get a high res version for prints because someone I know wants a print for her daughter ARG!!! *complain complain*

*Pet pet* Take heart; at least you have plentiful lemurs.

This a most fine painting. I'm really impressed by the little details, especially the cracks in the stonework. And I love the texture of the tree leaves.

WOW...I am such a sucker for cranes. And I love the details--that's really interesting how the tails come together to form a "bridge" where the lantern hangs!
Oh wow! Very nice! You win an "up" rating.
