Conceptual art of Miyu Lynx for the Mach Rider "2" idea. For those not in the know, Miyu's actual origins come from an unreleased SNES game, Star Fox 2. Here I attempt to make her in my own style. :3

Miyu Lynx was originally a top mechanic in the Cornerian army. She was able to pilot an aircraft just as well as she could fix one. Quite the tomboy, she never likes to be the "poor defenseless girl" and would rather face a battle head-on. She's been known to be a little hard-headed, and typically grows frustrated if things don't go her way.

She heard of the many adventures of the legendary Star Fox team when she was a child, and since then wanted to become part of their team (her best bet in getting a good start was to join the Cornerian army). But after the team's disbanding a few years ago, she was a little disappointed that her dream would not be fulfilled. A friend of hers, a fellow mechanic by the name of Fay Howell, suggested she try making her own Star Fox-like team. Her spirit renewed, Miyu liked the idea and attempted to make a new team: "Nova Cat."

But the progress came to a screeching halt when General Peppy assigned Miyu and Fay to a different team, led by a supposed "super soldier" by the name of Tora Yager. Miyu was furious; not only was she unable to continue assembling her team, but she was forced into a different team led by some mere infantry! And what's more, he wasn't a pilot!! Miyu complained that she wanted to start a team of her own, AND be the leader, but Peppy insisted that Tora would be a valuable leader and member of the team. As much as she didn't like it, she submitted to Peppy's decision.

As time passes in the story, Miyu's feelings for Tora gradually changes from anger to jealousy, then admiration. She will start to realize that Tora's merits weren't just for his new robotic appendages... he actually has real skill. This will become very apparent when Tora comes to the rescue during some very difficult missions. And, unfortunately for Miyu, she may unwillingly end us a "damsel in distress" at least once during the adventure, and Tora will have to come to the rescue.

I suppose it's not necessary to say that she becomes a love interest for Tora.

Awwww...

But does she ever convince Tora to get behind the stick of a fighter?
