Description

From my Digital Illustration class, this is the third of four images.

The assignment was to perform a random act of kindness, and then illustrate it in a sequential format, using some element of sculpture.
I was a little stuck on what to randomly do, but I've been writing to BackwardsTwin2 while she's been offline-against-her-will, and it seemed like a subject I'd like to illustrate. So...Reb, these are for you.

The sky was photographed over my parents' house last Summer, and everything else was photographed from various and sundry items from my apartment. All individual photographs, and then cobbled together to make this.

This was so much a challenge, and I had to pull an all-nighter that lasted well into the next day, but I learned so much, doing this, and...I'm feeling rather accomplished, right now.
...I've found that I really like working in this technique.

(This is twenty-six layers, all done in Photoshop CS3. I think this one is also my favorite of the series.)

You do realize that you keep saying how each picture is the FIRST of four images, right?

I love how they all tell a story.

Woooh, interesting composition in this one. I love the varied landmarks, especially the ominous Japanese paper lamp whatchamahoozit that's kinda floating there in the back, ready to strike.
