A.] Remove the VLC Player
B.] Remove the DivX Player
C.] Go to http://www.cole2k.net and download cole2k
D.] Get Windows Media Player 11 if you haven't
Cole2k gives you a mess of codecs without having to buy or download or install anything extra. Meaning if you have Cole2k installed, WMP11 can play DivX movies.
Go to rocketdock.com and get rocketdock if you haven't.
Openoffice.org is a good replacement for the Microsoft Office. OpenOffice 2.3 has some pretty neat fixes, so if you downloaded 2.2 and didn't like it, I suggest you get 2.3 before changing to MS.
ubericon is also pretty cool. Also, I suggest removing The Weather Channel from your machine, and get Meteo Fusion instead: http://www.eggiz.org/meteo-fusion-en/
