Is like the beating,
The pounding of
Drums.

I can’t hear it,
I say,
You laugh,
And tell me to
Listen.

You say that the whispers
Of god
And his secrets,
Are just out of
Reach.

You say that life is like
A Medley
And the notes,
Are yours
To choose.

Not Chopin’s, or Bach’s, or Handle’s
Even Mozart,
Can’t decide
How this Medley,
Will go.

You say that
Life’s how you make it,
Your own Musical Medley
That no one else,
Can Meddle with
Your own music,
Beautiful

That no one else can hear.

Nature sets the pace,
You say,
Laughing.
The rest is yours,
For the taking.
