Real Life (poem version)

This video game is just like real life
Hang on, better save here, just in case
Whoops, I lost my job, my house - my wife
Load game, try again, this time I save face

Pause game and let me take a breath of air
This level's hard, I made it to the boss fight
Then lost again, Game Over, it's not fair
Load game, try again, this time do it right

I wasted too much time with the girlfriend
Why should this stupid game cause me such strife?
At this rate I won't make it to the end
It's all gone wrong, never mind: Restart life

This is based off the same concept of my short story with the same name, and was actually written BEFORE the short story.

Thanks to for the image.

meh, doesn't have the same effect, I think it was a wise choice to turn it into a story. Reading this what you get is an explanation of a concept, an interesting concept, but one that doesn't need to be elaborated on quite this much, and you don't necessarily get the transition of restarting 'real' life. Also, the rhyming doesn't really gel with me, comes off awkward in some places.
