The Legend of the Ninja Squirrel; Ch 1 - Just the Beginning
Chapter 1 - Just the Beginning
As I slowly woke up, it was still dark. As usual. I wait as my vision clear up and I looked at my clock and it read “5:30am” “Holy crap! I’m late!” I quickly stumble out of my bed, ran to the bathroom, threw on some clothes that were closest to me. I scrambled up my gear and stashed some breakfast into my bag and soon dashed out of the door to school. I reached up to the classroom where I was greeted my Ms. Beck. “I’m sorry I’m late Ms. Beck, it won’t happen again.” Ms, Beck, “Tammy… how many times do I have to tell you? You’re not late. You’re always at least 20 minutes earlier than you usually expected to be. Is there a certain reason why you have to get away from home so desperate? If not I suggest you come to class 20 minutes from now.” Tammy, “Yes ma’am.” That’s Ms. Beck, our string orchestra conductor. Who am I? I’m Tammy, your heroine in the story. I’m a freshmen attending San Leandro High School; one of the most ghetto looking schools here in the 510 area. I guess you can say I’m your typical band geek; well in this case, orchestra, nerd, anime junkie, anything you can throw at me that’s related to being a book geek. One of the shortest Asian girls of the class, medium long black hair, and the thing that sticks out the most, are my dorky-ass glasses. Did I mention that I’m also vertically challenged? In other words, short.
Sarah, “Hey Tammy!” Tammy, “Oh, hey Sarah.” That’s Sarah, tallest girl in the class, long blonde hair, crystal faded blue eyes, pale skin, glasses and maybe you wouldn’t have to guess, white. Sarah and I are considered one of the most competitive friends also smartest in the class. She’s closest to me, but we don’t get along as much. Sarah is always trying to correct me in everything I do. She always find an error in all my computer inventions and crap. Its quite annoying. Sarah, “So, did Ms. Beck yell at you for coming too early again?” Tammy, “Oh lets call the paper and report that for today. Obviously… I can’t help to be paranoid all the time.” “Oh by the way, I’m still looking for errors in your human security robot, C3. It seems that you lacked in some functions so there’s room to upgrade it to C5.” “Thanks Sarah… You’re really a shoulder to cry on.” “Hey, its all obvious Tammy. I don’t even know why you even bother trying.” “I was being sarcastic butt much!” “Oh hey, I got to get to class, I’ll see you afterwards.” “See ya laters Sarah.”
Yup, that’s basically our relationship. Just to refresh some things, C3-4-5, are computer programs I created that links up to your house and becomes one huge security system that, well secures your house. The C-computer series praticaly makes your house a living robot, and looks like Sarah wants to upgrade that. Yes, I know how to invent things. More details later, just right now I’m waiting for English class to be over. Jennifer, “Yo what’s up Tammy?” Tammy, “Oh hey Jennifer. Nothing much. How about you?” “Could be better.” That’s Jennifer, I guess you can say she’s the nice version of Sarah but typically, Asian. About my height, short black hair that hit’s the top of her shoulders, glasses; not as thick or big as mine mind you, skinny and pretty cute for the guys who like the whole nerdy Asian looks. Trust me, I have met those kind of guys. Jennifer is one of the popular ones amongst our group. What clique I belong to? Probably the ‘weird’ Asian nerds.
