Lie Again
Monday morning, I lie again.
Heart racing,
Faster, faster!
Brilliant red, a vision of speed and power.
Climbing in, sweet ecstasy.
We're moving,
Faster, faster!
Who am I kidding,
When all I can think about is how his hair falls in his face,
How his blue eyes wrinkle up when he laughs.
The rear view mirror grants me access to these orbs of light.
Three voices mingling.
Cheering,
Laughing,
Singing.
Screaming vibrates the seats.
A sound foreign but appealing to me.
A race begins!
Clutching ice cold taste between frozen fingers,
A treat I'll soon regret.
Nausea about to creep in,
But now only the same rush which never gets old.
Done now.
Can't breath.
Picture you and me,
Alone without these other fools.
Nausea gone?
Guess again.
Maybe tomorrow,
A happy end.
Watching,
Searching.
Speak to me please?
Yes!
A smile to last even through twilight.
Endless jokes,
You should know I'm a fan.
But we're not in middle school anymore.
Even if you do make me feel like a kid again.
Break away,
We're seperated,
Hoping the Circle will turn up tonight.
Hope to see your face once more.
Shhh,
Keep quiet,
Dragon's in the den,
Can't afford to get caught again.
Until twilight,
I was right.
Now you're gone for the night.
Fun's over babe,
Until tomorrow.
Sleep,
Wake,
Again, Again.
Tuesday morning, I lie again.
