This is a picture of Fritz's cheek, recovering from his recent absess, which I've discussed in my most recent journal entry.
The little red spot in the middle, beneath the top incision, is where Fritz scratched himself and popped the absess. The top and bottom incisions are where his vet inserted a drain to drain the absess of bacteria. The drain looked like a 2in x 2in piece of plastic sheet rolled up and inserted through the incisions. Every once and a while, a drop of blood would drip out. This really bugged Fritz, and he would claw at it constantly.
Thankfully, it was taken out yesterday and has healed pretty well. Hopefully, Fritz won't have any more trouble.

That looks like what the other cats of mine had... I'm glad to hear that he's healing well. And poor kitty! He had to have his face hair shaved off.
