roosevelt is chill
Around the 1990's there was a big wave of environmentalist ideas
floating around. President Theodore Roosevelts personality allowed him to
waste no time in expressing his views on being a conservationalist by taking
action with various subjects such as endangered species and parks to be
used for animal conservation. He was an outdoors man who loved animals
that showed through the things he did.President Roosevelt realized the
importance of conserving wild life, he had the mindset of an environmentalist
and a conservationist. Which was very valuable to the United States' out
doors.
President Roosevelt had a personality to go along with his love for
outdoors, he loved being outdoors and was very outgoing and rugged. That
probably aided in his plans of conservation and the such. He would prefer to
have all of his pictures be shot outside and with him doing something along
the lines of being mounted on a horse, standing next to some sort of animal
or wilderness and etc. It was clear to see that being an environmentalist was
going to be a big thing with Roosevelt. It is obvious because of his love for
animals. He would go bird watching quite often, sometimes even sketching
the birds.
The fact that Roosevelt was into animals made him make the
conservation act, in which he saved more then 150 million acres of wild
life. More needed to be done to help the wildlife when he decided to take
action when he found out how many species of animals at the time were in
brick of extinction because of various things like hunters and traders. Since
he was President he could finally do something about it, which he did.
Various laws were created by Theodore Roosevelt to help save many
animals such as the Bald Eagle, the mountain lion and even the grizzly bear.
The fact that he saved the grizzly bear is related to how the Teddy
Bear got it's name. Roosevelt realized the importance of animal species
preservation. He helped many species to survive and kept a large amount
of wild life saved keeping the natural animal cycle flowing smooth in the
United States, if it were not for President Roosevelt the United States
probably would have close to no animal species or wild life left. Roosevelt
knew better then to just sit around and wait for all the animals to become
extinct, he did somehting about it. He succeeded at doing it, which is also
why he is dubbed as the conservation president. He greatly influenced
this part of the United States making it better.
The environmentalist and conservationist actions that took place
in the early 1900's with Roosevelt were indeed wise, making Roosevelt
to be one of our most respected presidents. Roosevelt took quick action
to save our outdoors, without his help the United States would see little
wildlife, see little of any animals, and see little of the importance of
conservation.
