Heee! Ok this was interesting. Its an experiment in digital painting techniques, based on a tutorial made by

But yeah, her technique is to paint the subject completely in black and white first, THEN add the colour. Its, i think, kind of unusual, but lets you focus first on the form and structure, then on the colour, light and shading, so thats cool.
Soooo, i did a speed painting, of sorts, to try this out meself. The horse itself was an outline made by the lovely
http://fire-n-ash.deviantart.com/. So all i did was fill it in. Hee! Took about 2 hrs id say, which is uber duber fast for me, and also explains the errors lol!
Erm.. i found it to be a really interesting way to paint, and is kinda faster than the way i used to paint, and is a good bit easier to fix and tweak. Cause you add the colour on over a base, bit by bit rather than as you go. Heee!
So what du guys think? Id love some concrit on this, erm.. ignoring the structure errors hehehe *cough* cause i didnt have any references and did it all fast like. OH! And "Capall" is irish for horse, heh.
