Finally done! I am so happy to have finished this. I hardly ever draw fire . . . And aren't you all amazed I drew two non-equine pictures in a row? I can hear the jaws hitting the floor from here . . .
Anyways, done for *DarkDelusion's Elemental Collaboration. Fire element, obviously. So anyways, I found this incredible egret picture by ^KevLewis and fell in love, and he kindly granted me permission to use it. I experimented with the background. It was supposed to be hazy, dark clouds, but didn't really come out that way. I do love how it came out. Done with my usual Prismas. And his colors are supposed to be a little more subdued than I usually do. I also turned to some awesome stock photos for reference for the flames, since I draw them so often, and I want to thank everyone who provides such great photos for help. I really appreciate it.

The body looks a little flat, possibly needs more shading.

I like the background and the way it flows. It flows the same way as the fire/feathers do, so it all looks nice. I'm just amazed at how bright and white you made the fire look

I love how it looks like there is a light source behind it, how the outer feathers are lighter.
