For my Editorial Illustration class. We were supposed to depict the American Flag in a symbolic way.
The concept: the war in Iraq is being fought for the wrong reasons. Our politicians are preaching about Honor, Duty, Glory, and upholding the American way when their real reasons for going over to Iraq in the first place were to secure oil rights and line their pockets. What about the people of America? What about our Economy? Have we no say?
Our ideals are being eaten away.

I see "American's pride in it's strongest form" as text with the feature.
But your concept is a tad different.
I love the golden ish background.
