Warriors-untold legends-story, chapter 1
The wind belted down on Blackpaw as he trotted through the forest, he has never been this thick into it. Blackpaw lifted his nose to sniff the air he could smell swamp clan territory near, has he really come that far, then I loud cry pierced his ears as he saw the trembling forest clan getting chased by the fierce swamp clan, he tried to go and help but his body froze, all he could do was watch his clan get slaughtered, he looked in terror and then the same ear piercing scream came again.
Blackpaw awoke to a sharp his from smokepaw “keep it down! You were meowing in your sleep again!” Blackpaw got up and stretched his legs, it was a cold morning, he could see the frost on the leafs outside the apprentices den, he trotted out of the den and into the clearing, Blackpaw trotted over to the fresh kill pile and got a skinny mouse, he trotted back thinking about his dream, he sat down just outside the apprentices den to eat, he looked over to the warriors den then back to his paws, he was going to be a warrior soon but none of that mattered to him now, he looked blankly into the sky lost in his thoughts, what was that dream all about he wondered to himself, “are you going to eat that” rabbitpaw asked, “nah, you can have it” Blackpaw meowed still lost in his thoughts, then another voice startled him, it was gingerpaw “its going to be a cold day, prey will be hard to catch” she purred, Blackpaw admired gingerpaw, she was brave and strong and a quick thinking everything a good warrior needs. Blackpaw lifted his head and sniffed the air, “this day is going bring rain” he mewed, the three apprentices exchanged glances, “lets hope not during the exams” a stern voiced meowed, it was flamestripe, the deputy of forestclan and Blackpaws mentor, the three apprentices looked up at him, “when will we be on” Rabbitpaw asked with curiosity, “first” Flamestripe replied, the three apprentices exchanged glances then followed Flamestripe out of the camp and into the training grounds. “Okay, there will be three parts to this test” Flamestripe mewed, the apprentices nodded and he continued, “there are hunting, tracking and fighting” he meowed slowly, he went on “the first test will be hunting, Gingerpaw you will be hunting at the fire rocks, rabbitpaw you will be hunting beside the lake and blackpaw you will be hunting at the centre of the forest, good luck” flamestripe trotted away into the shadows leaving the three apprentices in the area, they all nodded quickly at each other and walked away.
The ground was wet under Blackpaws paws as he trudged through the think forest, he lifted his head and smelled a mouse, to pass this exams he needed to catch a mouse, bird and squirrel, he stalked over into a clearing, instantly his eyes pin pointed the exact location of the small mouse, Blackpaw stalked over to him and got ready to pounce, after a couple of seconds he leaped into the air and scooped the mouse up, he bit down on the small animals neck killing it instantly.
It wasn’t long before he caught the bird and squirrel, he trotted back to the training ground and saw flamestripe there with shrewtail and wolfpelt, “welcome back Blackpaw” flamestripe mewed, Blackpaw nodded in reply the flamestripe continued “you are the first one back”, shortly after gingerpaw leaped over bushes and trotted the training hollow, then rabbitpaw appeared out of the mist and cam over, “its good to see that you all cached what you needed to, you have past the first part of the test” flamestripe mewed. “I suppose you are wondering why Wolfpelt and shrewtail are here” he meowed softly, “they are assisting in the second part of the test” he mewed, the apprentices looked aver to the cats then nodded, Flamestripe continued “in this part you will have to track us down, Rabbitpaw you will be tracking wolfpelt, Blackpaw you will be tracking me and gingerpaw you will be tracking shrewtail” he meowed firmly, “okay” Blackpaw mewed, “good luck” wolfpelt mewed then nodded to the apprentices, at that moment the warriors were gone
