Beyond The Mysterious Beyond
Beyond The Mysterious Beyond...
This evening,
I did something I have not done in many years...
...
I looked up...
At exactly the stroke of midnight
(according to the clock in the sunroom)
I set and looked to our local Universe in total awe.
Take just a single moment from your life's journey late one night,
And look up, Look to the ever spanning Galaxy we live in with an open mind...
...
Hopefully, it makes you feel very small, quite insignificant, Infinitly curious, And more then anything,
Existing as one macro-nano-speck in the wonderful place we live within.
...
I always find myself wondering however,
Just what lies out there, Just beyond my eye's reach...
...
What could possibly exist, Or what infinite nothingness could exist,
The human mind could, and has,
Dwindled on that very curosity since the day we first walked the earth.
...
What did the first person who looked up at the starry night sky think?
...
Was it Fire?
...
Was it Light?
...
Or was it...
Something else?
...
A man's mind could wander eternaly on that one...
Still,
As I looked up, I couldnt help but smile...
When I look up,
I dont fear of impending doom from colliding galaxys, Or alien invasions...
I think of hope in the future, Maybe just by looking up this world could someday learn something...
Not just about what really IS out there, More so I hope, About things much... Closer to us.
...
Of our own world to be more precise.
Why do we feel so small when we look up?
...
Is it because we know what science and art has told us to beleave what's out there, So very much...
Or is it instinct, Knowing the infinite expanses of Reality, Space, Time, and the one true definiton of TRUE Infinity itself?
I fear man may never know the answer to such a question,
What's more important then the answer however, is always figuring out the mystery itself, The accomplishment of unraveling just one of life's many questions.
I feel every action has a reaction, every question has an answer, every up has it's down and so on...
It's just so many of these outcomes are just beyond humanity's reach...
Perhaps someday we'll reach some of these,
But even as clever as creatures we are, Leaving some questions never answered, Some paths never ending...
I beleave the omni present creator left us a few questions with no true answer,
Space, I beleave,
Is just one of the many millions of these God left for our curosity to toy with, and keep our minds forever alive with ever vigilant wonder...
