Sing your joys to the moon. Title inspired by the Wolf series by Jane Lindskold (best books ever!). Anyways, here is Ary with Shinrai. Aryenne is a shapeshifter, in case I haven't mentioned that previously. And since she's on the run, she hiding out, temporarily, as a wolf. Because of her unique colorations, she doesn't tend to hide so well.

This was a big challenge. My only defense for poor forms is that I rarely draw wolves. All the bushy fur hides the body's true shape and can make it difficult. And then I go and pick difficult positions! I also tried for the forest background again. No floating trees this time, but still not quite what I wanted. Anyone draw forests much? Any tips? Please don't be harsh with the wolves either. Shinrai does appear rather gaunt, but that is how the wolf in the photo looked. Done for ~kuro-shinzui-ookami's contest.

Both wolves referenced from photos by ~ForsakeWolf on deviantART.

Oh, my...the wolves are fantastic! The iridescent fur on the one on the right is particularly gorgeous.

Sorry I can't help you with either area--I've got enough difficulties with humans, the one subject I actually draw!

You might want to try asking http://robertsloan2.deviantart.com though. He's got a pleasant, loose style that reminds me of this, and I know he would be VERY happy to give you a detailed answer if you sent him your questions.
