All animals displayed a silent fondness for her, and she would hide sccraps of bread from her breakfast to feed to the birds. One particularly beautiful bird showed her great affection and eventually everywhere she went the bird would follow. People began to call her Lady Bird in mokery but she wasn't at all displeased by the name.
