I think you made the sytche pretty good, but since you made it that long at the blade you should make it blurred like when you walk around in towns and or having it as "Slicing"

I think I've only drawn the scythe once...URFS @ Gaia for these weapons. At least you weren't asked to draw the sword of aegis...that looks like it would be an even bigger pain.
On a related note, the black part of the scythe, mainly where the blade attaches to the main staff, looks like a chocobo to me. Your arts make me see things! o_O!!
