Okay, now this might not be as complex as To Marchwood, but it's certainly the most consecutive times I've rendered the same character. SA doesn't have a category for "everything", so I marked this as a painting. Going clockwise from the upper left we have CG (front view), Digital Painting portrait, CG (back view), Pixel art game sprite, CG game portrait, and Digital Painting Wu Xing orbs.

This is another of those things that I'm not sure I could do again, but I certainly hope so. I have some issues with it, but I mostly accept it as finished. I might redo the game sprite (again) as I seem to have forgotten how to do decent pixel art.

Anyway, this is a character from one of my many game concepts. All of her relevant statistics are included, though context is not, nor do I intend to provide it at this time. This also marks the first truly ethnic character that I have drawn. I have all sorts of characters with a wide variety of skin tones, but this is the first who belongs to a specific, real world ethnic group; Chinese. I attempted to do an appropriate amount of research to support this, but it is possible that I have made mistakes. One potential issue that I'm aware of is that I had intended to use the character é'ƒ (shÇ") for metal, but it's missing from all of my Kanji fonts for some reason. I used é‡' (jin) instead, and honestly I don't know which is more correct anyway. I have my reasons for giving her such an uncommon surname however, so that is not an error.

So there you have it. I'm starting to babble, and art should speak for itself. Standard disclaimer applies, she belongs to me, and so does the picture. The only thing that I can't quite claim credit for is the game sprite's head, which is HEAVILY based on Anita's from Suikoden II because I forgot how to draw heads and needed a guide.

WOW! That's really cool!!! *falls over backwards and hits head, goes to hospital and is checked out okay, develops a headache after two days and dies a week later of a slow brain leak* I like her magical orbs, especially the close-up of them is REALLY well done.
