I decided to draw all the 3 kinds of mourning robes of the Wind Catchers. I used photoshop brushes from adobe.com, obsidiandawn.com, lunaregina.com, and photoshoproadmap.com.
Wind Catchers do not have tombs, they are burned down after they die. Afterlife also does not exist for them; they turn into fire birds and become companions of the great Nothern Wind to follow it until the end of the world.
According to their tradition mourning clothes are of 3 kinds:
black - if a person has died because of violent death (e.g. murder) or an accident;
red - if a person has died in the battle or commited suicide;
white - if one's death was natural (e.g. because of ilness or old age).
Those who mourn must cover their heads. That is the only obligatory detail. The women, however, may use loose hair as a substitute. Other details are considered of minor importance and if it is impossible to get proper mourning clothing, funeral may be carried out without it.

Apart from other emblems each clan has its own family emblem (mon). In most cases, mons are the element of the official clothing and are not obligatory in everyday life. People having the same mon are normally related by blood. Mon can also mean that the person is under protection of this particular clan.
Wind Catchers wear their family emblems on both shoulders only. Emblems on the chest or back usually signify one's belonging to organizations, his/her military rank or position in the society.
The mon of the Sakai clan is white swirl with four tails symbolizing the four winds.
