Back in 11th grade I took the jewelry course that our high school offered. For our final project we had to create a piece of jewelry that resembled and animal out of metal. This is the result.
The lizard is made out of copper. We sketched out our animal, glued it to the piece of copper we were supplied with, and were sent on our way. The legs were the most difficult part to make-you'll notice that the bottom right foot seems to be missing a part of a toe-I cut a little too close and the piece broke off. Once all the pieces were cut out, we soldered them together and filed them to make it smooth.
A jump ring was inserted in the hole in the tail to which the necklace could be connected. The necklace consists of string, beads, and a magnetic fastener. To keep the beads in place, I tied small knots above and below them.
Out of all the pieces we made in that class, this is the one I am most proud of (seeing as it's the only one I'm willing to put on here ^^).

Mmm, That's quite nice.
I do like the copper lizard, the holes inside the form make it look more artsy.
It just looks kinda heavy, is it? And does the magnet system really work? O___o

Heh, the only jewelry course in my school was 3D art. We made jewelry, soapstone carvings, clay figures, pots and bowls.
