Kyzyxx overheard his captors talking about a prophecy from The Apple of Enlightenment that the Space Slobs that conquered his planet would be defeated by a teenager from Earth. He escaped and headed to Earth where he met Jim and sent him on his quest. Kyzyxx would like to be of more help, but he only gets information in small spurts.
