The Frost Fairy Princess has just returned from a Polar Ball, alights on a mushroom (frosted by her's truly) and surveys her surroundings...thinking "Not enough frost"...

I would say this took me 4 1/2 days to do..simply because I spend x-amount of chunks of time throughout the day on one piece (while the mind/muse are busy sketching, brewing other ideas!) I can't sit down and do a piece in one day or straight into the night...nope, would drive myself crazy and my lil' one creates more than enough chaos and anarchy without me adding to my own boat of insanity!

Tools: Watercolor, watercolor pencils, gouache, acrylic & a teensy winsy bit of Photoshop enhancement (to give the frost globe that "glow") that I've yet to achieve with watercolor (but I'm working on it!) and masking fluid to create all that crazy globular and straight frosty looking stuff in the background...

Now that I've completed this, its off to clean my desk and on to something different...maybe something with some with holiday cheer... who knows what I will do next...tho' my wacom board is calling me...I feel the muse will be torn in several directions and I will gladly suffer the effects

BTW--watermark is there to protect my artwork, no theiving allowed or I'll send a rabid carniverous carrot your way

Your fairies are excellent, heh. are you on epilogue.net? They rejected all my fairies, poo

Um. Back to the picture! The time you invested in this was well-spent; it's a gorgeous picture. Lovely work!

I really like the flow of the design and the colors! It's nicely balance. A tip on your watermark, though, it's just barely visible and would be horribly easy for a casual thief to blend out with a tiny bit of work. Not much protection. Just thought I'd point that out.
