Strike a Pose

I'm a die-hard fan of America's Next Top Model. Wanting to draw myself in a dynamic..strong pose, I came up with this late last night while listening to some Motley Creu. If you can't see it well, the shirt says "Dr. Feelgood" (a song by Motley Creu if you didn't know) and there's an outline of a medical cross behind the letters.

The thick choker resembles the one that a good friend gave me back in the day. The pants are supposed to be shredded capris. They look kinda neat. Very rock n' roll. The lace-up boots are of my own design (though they're not particularly complicated, I really like the star details and the cuff on the right leg. Haven't drawn my favorite red sunglasses (which I need to repurchace..seeing as one pair got broken and the other was mistakenly placed in the hands of someone else).

Ummm the "tattoos" aren't permanent. The designs were added for pizazz in this particular picture. The'll either change or be completely non-existant in future drawings. I personally have chosen not to ever get a tattoo for religious reasons, so likewise I wouldn't layer my fursona with tattoos since a persons fursona should ideally represent them. The stars and such are more like stickers that wrap around the arms..explaining why the fur texture isn't included in that area.

Yesterday marked the one year anniversary of my wonderful fiance Paul and me. I'm thrilled we made it to this point and am looking forward to the future, but some events also took place on Monday that kinda bummed me out... hense the edgyness of this drawing. The style is my own, but inspired and influenced by classic western comics like Spiderman, X-Men, and Wonder Woman...as well as some areas being slightly influenced by the fantastic Cory Bly. I love the way the dark shadows look, don't you? Erg I messed up the shirt. I had WONDERFUL dark shading and lighting until I tried to add some flare to the stomach area. I completely ruined it and had to color over it with black. Oh well.

The anatomy isn't perfect, but cut me some slack considering I didn't use any references and I wasn't looking in a mirror to figure out how the arm should bend, etc. Straight out of my brain, this was!

This is a very presonal piece of artwork to me. I love it and will deffinately be posting a colored version. I don't know how to stress this more...PLEASE DO NOT COPY ALTER REDISTRIBUTE OR USE IN ANYWAY. I haven't been putting big watermarks on my art lately because I want viewers to easily be able to view the details of my work..but if ART THEFT is going to become a problem, then I won't hesitate to incorporate watermarks into my submissions from now on.

GIFT ART AND USING MY CHARACTER: The rules here are that you may draw my character if you are intending on giving it to me as a gift. You may draw my character in a picture with your own character or a group picture... just please do not draw Meru in revealing attire and DO NOT pair her with one of your male characters. Savvy?

Sorry for the long description but I'm VERY proud of this drawing and would really appreciate feedback. With that being said, I wanted to answer possible questions as best as I can in the description portion of this.

Again everyone, this is my own personal design and character so PLEASE DO NOT use this image in forums or roleplays.
