Definitely fullview O.o
I've been meaning to draw Kaen for a long time, and this is the first that has come out even close to okay enough to put up.
If anyone has seen my Pyre and Snow picture, Kaen is their species equivalent of their parent. They can't actually have children, so they genetically engineer them and there are certain people in charge of raising children, usually in groups of two or three of the same age. Kaen was basically in training when a whole bunch of bad stuff happened and he ended up in an entirely other world with 11 of them (or, eleven who lived. About 40 were stolen but the others all died). Pyre and Snow were the youngest two, Don (the one Kaen is holding) is one of the older ones.
He has a lot more metal than any of the others I've posted do because more metal is generally equatable to how sensitive they are to temperature, so all of his children with a lot of metal died. He got his name (which means Glass) because even as an adult he's about as easy to kill as the average ten year old, as a child a five degree difference would send him reeling.

I love the cradling effect; my biggest critique, even though I know you probably wanted to avoid a possible risque pose, is that Kaen's right hand should be either cupping the glute (ie the buttocks) or wrapped under the thighs; it's very difficult to hold anyone, child or otherwise, around the waist for long periods of time.
Makes me really interested in your story.
Otherwise, excellent design concept, wonderful expression -- great work!
