Obsession

An Obsession is defined
As an unhealthy want
Or Need
To posses something

Or at least, that’s how I define it
I understand this feeling all too well
But who in their right mind
These days anyway

Does not have something
That they obsess over
Be it a lady, a man
Or Something else entirely

Yes, everyone has an obsession
Some Relish their obsession, basking in it
While others try
To bury it deep inside

Hoping that if they ignore it, it will just go away
But part of the reason its called an obsession
Is that it never, ever goes away on its own.
Ever.

another poem for my writers craft class. we were supposed to take a word and define it and then write a poem about it. heres what I came up with.

It's nice; however it is only mildly poetry. I myself am not much of a fan of poetry without a rhyme scheme, but I respect it just as well. Perhaps add more flow to the piece(?) Because as it stands, it seems like a cluster of deep thoughts that, if not in stanza format, would just be a cluster of deep thoughts.

But I really do like your deep thoughts, very thought provoking. Good work : )
