Heaven and Hell: Class Project

My second project for my Photoshop class this semester. For this project the only critera was that the picture was a 12x12 inch square and that there was a horizontal line in the center. We could work with any subject matter that we wished. I decided to go with one of my space scapes because I've been watching too much Firefly again. :)

I've decided to split my picture into two seperate pictures because otherwise I've have to use part of a heavenly body (ring, nebula, etc) to split it up... and that would have driven me nuts because I don't usually like anything in my space art to be centered. My Boyfriend really likes this picture... he wants to use it as a dektop wallpaper for his computer but I don't think it will fit. :p

Whether this picture is of one singular planet or two seperate planets I leave that up to you the viewer. Nonetheless, I've finished this project MUCH faster then I originally planned so chances are I'll end up doing a few more pictures for this project.
