I had spare time in school, so I made a copy of an original illustration from a book by Camilla Gripe, called "Nordiska gudar" ("Norse gods"). The only difference is that my artwork is black-tinted, the original is colored (plus that my artwork has a bigger sword. I suck at drawing proportions. ).

I have to remind myself not to draw with charcoal ever again, they're hard to draw details with.

The artwork was too big to fit in my scanner, so I had to take a photo. First I wanted to lighten the picture with Paint Shop Pro, but the quality went bye-bye. I'd rather stay with the original picture.
I might draw a background too, but we'll see..

Original illustration is by MÃ¥d-Olsson-Wannefors.

Whoa I love it! :3 You did well with the details although it's so hard with charcoal...! Good work ^^

it's not the charcoal fault you used rough paper, maybe? cause it kills >_<
