Clocktower

Years I've been kept in a corner of cycles,
Setting the bricks in place.

Silent greed pounding at the door,
My monsters crave to taste your fear.

Your expectations are candy dreams,
Reality is I am my own being.

I've come home time and time again,
To hide and dedicate my flesh to its walls.

Hush,
Don't you cry.

I'll sing you a lullaby,
I will tuck you in.

All my pretty hallucinations,
Free to roam as they please.

Hear the bells ringing?
It's almost time.

You have passed your last judgement on me,
My sacrifices creating steel gates.

From shadows it rises high,
Devouring all that is sees.

You have awaken in the clocktower,
Floor tiles made of pills.

My terror,
My fiend.

My beast in the night,
My one voice of sanity.

Clocktower,
Open your eyes.

Clocktower,
They want to play.

Seal off the basement,
No one can know.

The gut wrenching scent,
Where do all the bodies go?

I don't really know what to say, but I think this piece flows magnificent and it's giving me inspiration.

mercury yume Says:

very interesting read. Couple of things, 'Reality is I am my own being' and 'you have awaken in the clocktower' don't seem to make sense.

The formatting is nice, really sets the pace well, and great treatment of the horror theme as usual.
