Ugh...I am so sorry that this is so freaking boring. I love this picture, but I just can't color it in a way that pleases me. Dx I may scrap this later.

Eli's the comatose-looking one in the tube, and the effeminate fellow on the right is Alex.
They both serve as law enforcement officers in a dystopian earth that's been overtaken by a race of parasitic aliens. Whenever someone breaks any (major) law, such as treason, murder, drug running, et cetera, their limbs are hacked off (from the elbow down with the arms, plus the entirety of their legs). Then alien limbs are set to grow from the leftover stubs, a process that takes place in giant, nutrient-filled tubes and can take many years to finish. The reason for having these hybrid police officers is to give a more human face to the parasites - after all, people are more willing to obey something with eyes, a nose, and a face than some ungodly space bug thing.

This is a picture of Elijah, who is finally done with his metamorphosis, and Alex, who is gloating over the loss of Eli's humanity. Alex has nothing but contempt for him - in fact, he was the one who arrested Elijah in the first place. Although you can't really see it in this picture, Elijah is a worker class hybrid, and Alex is a drone. The main difference between the two is that Alex has larger, more developed wings and pointier ears. He also is higher in rank; Eli is a standard officer, while Alex is more like a constable or chief-of-police type thing.
