Chain Mail: Captive Inverted Roundmail

Here is one of my favorite: Captive Inverted Roundmail (CIR).

This chain is a very nice round necklace shape with "captive" rings which aren't attached to anything but are held in place by the other rings.

The top is my steel reference chain.

The 2nd line is a collection of metals and colors: (from the left) Bright Aluminum, Bronze-colored Aluminum, Gold-colored Aluminum, Yellow-colored Aluminum, Jeweler's Bronze.

The bottom chain is my personal necklace, made with bronze and Bright Aluminum captive rings.
