I'm the only one so far (that I've seen) that uses only black/white/grayscale. >> I'm afraid my mediums will lose to the colored ones. :/

thats because your the only one that can pull it off nicely :3

quotidian Says:

Ah, I love the way you do eyes. x) I could never pull off that style. And black/white/gray is AWESOME because no one really uses it. My entire gallery would be b/w if I actually knew how to shade in monotones. xD But I don't know how, AKA never tried and is too lazy to do so, so. 8D

aw this looks so cute and professional! too cute!

TheWhiteShadow Says:

This is adorable ^^ I really like your style. Your characters are so cute, and your use of black/white/grey is top-notch! =3

Probably the reason color is preferred so much over greyscale and monotones is that there's only so much you can do with the two, whereas with color you have not only shades but also tones and hues to deal with. It gives the eye just a little bit more to look at and analyze, and it sets the mood for whatever is happening in the picture (if used correctly.)
Do not think that you are alone in your colorless art, though, for I too prefer not to use colors with my drawings. Blending and shading with my pencil lead is just too much fun

Sobakasu Says:

very sweet and light

sunANBU Says:

i think it looks great. You have amazing inking talents and your grayscale pieces always look fantastic!

Crisis Projects Says:

Play to your strengths - this is great as well! With colouring there's a lot more room for mistakes, and it's harder to spot them (usually) than in greyscale. Keep it up!
