Mmrn, Hobbs. September 1st, 1999 is when the real Hobbs died. AMAZING? There's more! Anyway, it was extremely unexpected, blah blah blah, made him into a character, - and so many years later, he's been my most lovable and successful character
These are his three stages.
Top:
Kitten Hobbs! I have actually made comic books, a series of three about Hobbs, titled, "Hobbs' Mischief". He's a hyper little guy. Very dumb, too.
Right:
Vintage Hobbs. He's a teenager here. Hobbs has been mainly in "Hobbs' Adventures", which "Hobbs' Mischief" was named after, in a theme sort of way.
Left:
The Alternate-Future Hobbs, along side Kibou, the alternate future Sute. Hobbs is wearing Sute's tasuke (that black belt thinger).
This was my first real crack with digital toning. GREAT? I think so. Still have so much to learn, but I just wanted to see how I'd do. 'AF' Hobbs is either pointing at his head or pointing at the kitten Hobbs, because of that crazy maturity difference. Oh yeah.

They're all three very cute! You did a very good job for a first attempt at using this kind of toning. Though the toning itself on the lighter parts of their fur does seem to be a little too dark. But I don't know if they are supposed to be like that. I admit that I had to squint my eyes just to see if the oldest Hobbs had a mouth or not. You did a good job either way.
