I don't play this game.
So when I do 'fanart' it's pure speculation on the concepts covered in the game.
This is a non-fan's interpretation of how Riku, when he is blindfolded, is unaware of the happenings of his surroundings, and the path he has chosen to tread. The blindfold comes off and he realises (by seeing the blood) what is going on, and what he is to become.
One of the things I'm quite sensitive about: don't rag on me about how it's "supposed" to be. As an "artist" I reserve the right to skew characters beyond logic (proven quite thoroughly by pairing wars

I think it's great how you have put so much of your own work into this rather than simply copying the existing ideas, true fanart right here.
The pose and the folds in the clothes are great, the colours used reflect an interesting atmosphere and a deep sense of brooding, the blood is a nice touch to it all. He kind of looks like he wants to fight but is more initally protecting himself from whatever could be out there, it's interesting to see such a number of angles to a piece! Keep it up!!
