real art

it's not like digital media is a tool. it totally doesn't count because a monkey can plug in and churn out amazing shit with photoshop filters am i rite? it's not like you still have to fucking learn to use the media and not like it requires any sort of skill just like any god damn artistic medium.

it's fucking fantastic to wave your shitty art around claiming to be better than everyone else because you used real media. which looks like SHIT from a lack of skill on top of the quality loss of taking real media to the internet, which is your sole method of showing off your art. god forbid you should have clear digital lines for something people only see on the internet! and then putting down other people for using a tool that while having some significant disadvantages in certain areas--when you're a kid with no money posting your art on the internet--is a massive aid because you save your money on paper and other art supplies (and save trees!) and get to learn tools that should you pursue a career in the arts will be a REQUIREMENT, is indeed NOT COOL.

if you think digital media is some sort of CHEAT and not as good as real media, you can shove a rusty rake in your cunt. if you think it's not REAL art if it's produced in photoshop? shove it. rather that bragging about your animu prismas and microns=tru art "even though i fucked it up and it looks like shit i can't start over or fix it because it's on paper so it is more valid" point of view, you can get the fuck over yourself and take a look at PROFESSIONAL art by students and industry employees to see that they work in every medium under the sun and as long as they have the ability and patience to learn, it will be fucking fantastic. using some fucking art class pastels out of nowhere will not suddenly make you a dignified artist--in ANY medium learning about proper anatomy, perspective, lighting, color theory, composure, any of these things would ACTUALLY do it.

actually KNOWING what you're doing is what you have to brag about, not what MEDIA you scribble FURFAG DIARRHEA in. complaining that people don't draw exactly like you with the exact same tools as you do and crying digital is evil even if it looks better (especially BECAUSE it looks better) is fucking RETARDED to a degree i cannot describe.

tl;dr digital is a tool as valid as any and talking down to people for using it is discouraging on the whole and fucking ass backwards. your art isn't dictated by your expensive tools. it's all ending up on the interbutt anyway, who the fuck cares.
